Headphones and speakers
Look after your battery.
Updated
The essentials
- Use an undamaged, compatible charger and keep an eye on charging.
- Stop using the product if its battery swells, leaks or becomes unusually hot.
- Take an old device to electronics collection. Take a separate battery to battery collection.
Charge and store safely
Follow the user manual for your model. Use an undamaged, compatible charging cable and power supply. Charge in a dry place at room temperature, on a non-combustible surface and away from flammable materials. Do not cover the product while charging.
Charge while you are awake and nearby. Disconnect the charger when charging is complete. Do not charge a wet, frozen or damaged product. Let a cold product warm up and dry before charging.
Keep the product away from heat, direct sunlight, moisture and impacts. Do not puncture, crush or open a battery, or connect its terminals to each other. Keep loose batteries away from children and pets.
If something looks wrong
Stop using and charging the product if its battery swells, leaks, smells unusual, is damaged or becomes unusually hot. Disconnect charging only if it is safe to do so. Do not handle a hot or smoking product.
Contact our support team and describe what happened. Do not post a damaged battery or device until you have received safe shipping instructions. Do not touch leaked battery fluid with bare hands.
If the product smokes or catches fire
Leave the danger area, warn others and close the door behind you if it is safe to do so. Call 112 in the EU, or your local emergency number elsewhere. Do not breathe the smoke or put yourself at risk trying to move the product.
Repair before goodbye
Shorter battery life does not automatically mean the whole product is finished. Ask us whether the battery in your particular model can be replaced or the product repaired.
Do not force out a built-in battery. If the manual does not give safe removal instructions, leave it to a repair professional. Do not fit a replacement battery unless its compatibility has been confirmed.
Give it the right send-off
Batteries and electrical products containing them must not go in household waste or packaging recycling. The crossed-out wheeled bin means separate collection. If shown, the Cd or Pb marking indicates cadmium or lead.
If the battery is inside the product and the manual does not explain how to remove it safely, take the whole product to electrical and electronic waste collection. Do not dismantle a product just to recycle it.
Take a separate small battery to a battery collection point. Tape over exposed terminals to prevent short circuits. Ask the collection point how to hand over a damaged or swollen battery beforehand. Do not leave it in a standard battery collection box.
Separate collection helps recover materials and reduces demand for raw materials. A battery in the wrong waste stream can cause a fire, and battery substances can harm health and the environment. If the product still works, keep using it or pass it on for reuse.
Where can I take it?
In Finland, find a collection point at kierratys.info. Choose battery collection for a separate battery and electronics collection for a whole device. Elsewhere, follow your local collection rules. Check the receiving point’s conditions and arrangements for damaged batteries in advance.

Why is this page here?
The QR code on your product or packaging brings you to this address. We keep general safety and recycling instructions here and will add verified product-specific battery information in the same place.
The EU Batteries Regulation’s QR code requirement applies from 18 February 2027. This page is not yet a complete set of product-specific battery information: missing battery details and documents must be added before it can be used to meet those requirements.
